#TNM was founded in 2012 after discovering so many gifted artists in our pass time on twitter. Some of those artists where having a hard time just getting forums to allow them space to share and people to listen.
” I had this extensive background and knowledge of “the industry” that I wasn’t using. Because of the experiences I witnessed my own mother “Lillie McCloud” suffer through, I was also hyper aware that the issues these artists where facing would be well beyond the problem of "just being heard". They needed to worry more about being taken for a ride by people who steel content and take money from artists who want to be heard. Thinking about it, I began to be all together disturbed. For a time I thought the technology was making it better for artists. Then the more I researched, I felt that the industry wasn't getting better for the artists, it was getting better at finding more artists to rob and more ways to do it! |
I had been wanting to make a difference in the music industry at large, the issue just really seemed to big at the time. Then it came to me, the same technology allowing big conglomerations to rob the artists made it easy for me to create a movement that would protect them! Twitter was a door all the sudden & it made my creative juices start spinning. I decided complaining wasn’t changing the issues, and together with a close friend, #TNM Nonprofit was launched.” – Lady Rayne McCloud #TNM CEO
